Gerd Smeets

Gerd co-founded KeBeK Private Equity in 2012, and is Partner.

He joined KBC Private Equity in 2005, where he worked as Investment Director on several buyouts, development capital and mezzanine transactions, in Belgium, France and Central-Europe.

Prior to that, Gerd worked for Bain & Co in Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Seoul, where he focused mainly on operational improvement and reorganization projects, as well as on portfolio work and due diligence projects for private equity investors.

Gerd holds an MSc in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven and an Msc in International Management from HEC Lausanne.
